Investment Disputes (ICSID), Arbitrator and Conciliator nominated
under Art. 2 of Annexes V and VII of the United Nations Convention
on the Law of the Sea, Argentine Commissioner to the
International Whaling Commission
Joined the Foreign Service in 1997. Deputy Consul in New York (1998-2005).
Minister Plenipotentiary at the Permanent Mission of Argentina to the
United Nations: Vice-President of the UN General Assembly Special Committee
on Peacekeeping Operations (2011-12), Deputy Permanent Representative
of Argentina before the UN Security Council (2013-2014), Vice-President of the
UN High-Level Committee on South-South Cooperation (2015),
coordinated negotiations of UN General Assembly Resolution 69/319 on
“Basic Principles on Sovereign Debt Restructuring Processes” (2015)
Agent of the Argentine Republic before the International Court of Justice in the Advisory Opinion on "The Legal Consequences of the Separation of the Chagos Archipelago from Mauritius in 1965" (2018-2019). Legal Counsel of Argentina before the International Court of Justice in the "Case concerning Pulp Mills on the River Uruguay" (2007-2010), and before the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea in the Advisory Opinion on the "Responsibilities and obligations of States sponsoring Persons and Entities with respect to Activities in the International Seabed Area" (2010)
